We Are One Conference 2017: ‘A Glimpse of the Horizon’ 29 – 30 September
Whichever One Church expression you call home you are part of an exciting vision that’s serving the nations and the neighbourhoods. Once a year we gather for our primary vision weekend and we hope you’re planning to be a part of We Are One 2017.
Proverbs 29:18 reminds us that ‘where there is no vision, no redemptive revelation of God, the people perish.’ We’re enthusiastic about We Are One because we experience the counter-point to this verse to be true too: where there is vision there’s unity, hope and purpose that God has more for you and more for His Church. We Are One gives us a glimpse of what God has in store for you, a glimpse of his vision for your life and for One Church, a glimpse of the horizon.
We’re delighted to welcome Denise Curgenven and Alan Hewitt as this year’s guest keynote speakers. Denise serves as the senior leader, and Alan the assistant pastor, at Hope Church in Newtown in the Welsh valleys. In a town of just 13,000 they’re exampling how a church can be front and centre of the community and are part way through a £3.7m building project that will serve local people every day of the week. Dee and Alan’s individual journey has been remarkable, with them recently switching roles so that the vision of the church could seamlessly continue for years to come. Their story will inspire you to play your part in His plans.
